Moving is over, Unpacking is not

Today, with the help of friends we finally got the PODS container unloaded,  I'll call tomorrow to get them to come pick it up.  So, in a few days, we went from a container full of boxes, to a house full of boxes.  This challenge is almost as tough as packing the container.  Because, now we have to decide what to unpack and where to put it.  We don't want to unpack too much because soon enough we'll need to pack it again.  We don't want to unpack to little because we don't want to be frustrated when we ask "Where's the ...?"

"In a box."

"Which box?"

"Um...."

Moreover, not to sound unappreciative of the help we got, when opening boxes you had no help in packing, you wonder what's in it?  Or you'll find 2/3 of a piece of kitchen equipment, but wonder where the missing piece is.  So, there's so many jobs, one wonders what to tackle first.  Tonight, I got the entertainment center 2/3 together, and found the Tivo, and set that up.  I know I've got one of those input boxes so I could hook up the Wii and PS2 around, as well as a power strip designed for electronics.  I think I'll leave the VCR out of the loop for now, and maybe leave the stereo also in boxes until we go to CA.  Although we want to throw a party too, so some electronics well be necessary.

Texas, and TAMU itself has been quite the adjustment.  We are starting to learn our way around, or at least to our parking space and back without looking at too many maps.  One place we can find, because it's on our way to work is H.E.B.  That place is amazing.  Supermarket is really the term that applies.  It's got a much more expansive food section then we're used to, plus all kinds of housewares.  Larger then a standard food store, smaller than a wal-mart, it's quite the experience.
